Since 1972, SRMG’s pioneering brands have been driving the media industry.
Our Arabic dailies were the first to offer the world a perspective rooted in and informed by our region. We launched Saudi Arabia’s first ever English newspaper, we were the first to launch a pan-Arab women’s weekly, and the first in the region to print newspapers in colour.
Today, our brands and 1,900 journalists, creators and business leaders deliver the region’s leading content, insights, and events to an audience of 172 million+, in seven different languages. Our titles proudly create content from MENA for the people of MENA, while simultaneously bringing the region’s rich culture, innovations, and talent to the rest of the world.

Saudi Research and Publishing company is established in 1972

Launch of Arab News, Saudi Arabia's first English-language newspaper, with the first issue published on 20 April 1975

Alsharq al Awsat, an Arabic international newspaper launched in London on 4 July 1978

Almajallah: One of the leading political affairs magazines of the Arab World. Issued in London 1980

Sayyidati, the first and only pan-Arab women weekly. First published in London in 1981
